Abstract
Objective To explore the effect of medium frequency electrotherapy on lumbar function and pain symptoms in patients with lumbar disc herniation(LDH).Methods A total of 65 patients with LDH admitted to Jiangxi Ganbei Hospital from December 2021 to December 2023 were selected and divided into conventional group(32 patients)and electrotherapy group(33 patients)by drawing lots.The routine group was treated with conventional treatment,while the electrotherapy group was treated with medium frequency electrotherapy on the basis of routine treatment.The rehabilitation efficacy,lumbar function[Japanese Orthopaedic Association(JOA)score],pain symptoms[Visual Analogue Scale(VAS),Oswestry dysfunction index questionnaire(ODI)]and lumbar range of motion(flexion and extension)were compared between the two groups.Results The excellent rate of rehabilitation in the electrotherapy group was 87.88%,and that in the conventional group was 65.63%,the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P＜0.05).Compared with the conventional group,the JOA score(clinical signs,subjective symptoms,limitation of daily life)of the electrotherapy group was higher,the VAS and ODI scores were lower,and the lumbar range of motion(flexion and extension)was greater(P＜0.05).Conclusion Medium frequency electrotherapy can improve the rehabilitation effect of LDH patients,improve their lumbar spine function,alleviate their pain symptoms,and restore their lumbar range of motion.关键词
