摘要

Abstract

Antibiotics are widely used in livestock and poultry farming for disease treatment or prevention.However,only a tiny amount of antibiotics is entirely absorbed by animals,with up to 90%of antibiotics is excreted as initial compounds or metabolites through feces and urine.Residual antibiotics and their metabolites in environment can induce the emergence of antibiotic-resistant bacteria(ARB)and promote the dissemination of antibiotic resistance genes(ARGs)via horizontal gene transfer(HGT)mechanisms.Currently,ARGs are recognized as emerging contaminants,posing a serious threat to both the ecological systems and animal health.It is worth noting that livestock and poultry manures are often rich in ARGs and ARB,which is the main source for spreading antibiotic resistance risk.To systematically assess the risk of spreading ARGs,this paper reviews the general profiles of antibiotic residues in livestock and poultry manure,the current status of ARGs contamination,routine detecting techniques,and their comprehensive prevention and control measures,respectively.The aim is to provide theoretical foundations and practical guidance for research in related fields.
