外用消水膏联合腹腔化疗治疗恶性腹水的临床研究
Clinical Analysis of External Xiaoshui Paste Combined with Intraperitoneal Chemotherapy for Malignant Peritoneal Effusion

Abstract
Objective To evaluate the clinical efficacy of external Xiaoshui Paste combined with intraperitoneal chemotherapy versus intraperitoneal chemotherapy alone in the treatment of malignant peritoneal effusion(MPE),thus providing evidence for the clinical application of Xiaoshui Paste.Methods After treatment,the maximum depth of ascites in both groups decreased compared with that before treatment(P<0.05),and the maximum depth of ascites in the treatment group decreased more significantly(P<0.01).A total of 58 hospitalized patients with ovarian,gastric,or colorectal cancer complicated by MPE who were admitted in the First Affiliated Hospital of Hebei University of Chinese Medicine from 1 January 2020 to 31 December 2022 were selected.They were randomly divided into two groups using the random number table:the treatment group(30 cases)and the control group(28 cases).Patients in both groups were treated with peritoneal injection of cisplatin,and those in the treatment group were additionally given topical Xiaoshui Paste.Clinical efficacy,quality of life measured by the Karnofsky Performance Scale(KPS),adverse events and follow-up data were compared between the two groups.Results After treatment,the ascites control rate in the treatment group was significantly higher than that in the control group(86.67%vs 57.14%,P<0.05).The TCM syndromes in the treatment group improved after treatment(P<0.05).Both groups showed significant improvements in the KPS scores post-treatment(P<0.05),which were significantly higher in the treatment group than the control group.During treatment,both groups experienced mild-to-moderate bone marrow suppression,gastrointestinal reactions,and mild renal dysfunction.However,the incidence of gastrointestinal adverse events was significantly lower in the treatment group than the control group(P<0.05).At 12 months of follow-up,there were 8(26.7%)recurrent cases of MPE in the treatment group,and 14(50.0%)in the control group.The rate of recurrence of MPE in the treatment group was significantly lower than that of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The combination of topical Xiaoshui Paste and intraperitoneal chemotherapy can effectively enhance treatment efficacy,improve quality of life,and reduce chemotherapy-related side effects and recurrence of MPE.关键词
