Abstract
Objective To explore the advantages of bone cement combined with expandable vertebroplasty instrument in the treatment of osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures(OVCFs).Methods A total of 199 OVCF patients who were surgically treated in the Rugao People's Hospital from December 2021 to December 2022 were selected as the study subjects.They were randomly divided into the observation group(n=98,received balloon-combined high-viscosity bone cement vertebroplasty)and control group(n=101,received high-viscosity bone cement vertebroplasty)according to the random number table method.The intraoperative bone cement injection volume,postoperative bone cement penetration and bone cement distribution grade were compared between the two groups.The total effective rate of the two groups was compared 3 days after treatment.The pain,the Oswestry Disability Index(ODI),and serum levels of procollagen type I N-propeptide(PINP)and C-terminal telopeptide(CTX)were compared between groups before the treatment,3 days after treatment and 1 year of follow-up.Results The injection amount,permeability and distribution of bone cement in the observation group were significantly higher than those of the control group(P<0.05).The effective rate of observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).The Visual Analogue Scale(VAS)score,ODI,and serum PINP and CTX at 3 days after the treatment and 1 year of follow-up were significantly lower in the observation group than those of the control group,which were significantly lower than the pre-treatment values(P<0.05).Conclusion The clinical effect of bone cement combined with bone forming balloon in the treatment of OVCFs is better,which can reduce the injection volume and penetration rate of bone cement,relieve the pain of patients,improve the distribution of bone cement,bone metabolism related indicators and waist related functions,and is worthy of clinical promotion and use.关键词
