Abstract
Objective To observe the effect of Shenfu Injection(SFI)combined with inhaled corticosteroid(ICS)in treating acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(AECOPD),and to explore its impact on the cardiopulmonary function. Methods From October 2021 to October 2024,78 AECOPD patients admitted to the Respiratory Department of the Sixth People's Hospital of Nantong were selected. They were randomly divided into the control group(n=39)and research group(n=39)using a random number table.Patients in both groups were managed by conventional treatment, including ICS,and those in the research group were additionally given SFI.Efficacy, cardiopulmonary function, blood gas indicators, inflammatory factors, immune function, length of hospital stay, and the Modified Medical Research Council(mMRC)score were compared. Results The overall efficacy rate was significantly higher in the research group than the control group(P<0.05).After treatment, the percentage of forced expiratory volume in one second(FEV1)to the expected value, forced vital capacity(FVC),left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF),cardiac output, partial pressure of oxygen(PaO2),and CD4+level in both groups were significantly higher than those before treatment, while partial pressure of carbon dioxide(PaCO2),procalcitonin(PCT),C-reactive protein(CRP),CD8+level,and the mMRC score were significantly lower than pre-treatment values(P<0.05).The above changes were significantly pronounced in the research group than the control group(all P<0.05).A significantly shorter length of hospital stay was observed in the research group than the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The combination of SFI and ICS is effective in treating AECOPD.It can improve cardiopulmonary function, blood gas indicators, and immune function, reduce inflammatory factors and mMRC score, and shorten the length of hospital stay.关键词
