Progress in Local Pig Breeding Research
摘要
Abstract
China possessed one-third of the world's pig breeds,characterized by rich and unique genetic traits such as high reproduc-tive performance,slow growth,strong stress resistance,and excellent meat quality.However,with the introduction of a large number of foreign lean pig breeds,the local pig market had suffered a huge impact,and many local breed resources had not been effectively uti-lized.To fully develop and utilize local pig germplasm resources,Chinese researchers had focused on local breed selection,new breed development,synthetic line creation,and their applications in medical research.In recent years,with the innovation of breeding tech-nologies,local pig breeding had become more precise and refined,and the development and utilization of germplasm resources had been highly effective.The market shared of high-quality pigs containing local pig bloodlines continues to increase.This article summa-rized the germplasm characteristics,breeding technology development and local pig breeding research to provide strong technical support for the industrialization of high-quality pigs.关键词
