Abstract
Continuous wave(CW)klystrons have the characteristics of high-power,high efficiency,high phase stability and low spurious output.They are widely applied in various radar and communication systems and are core components of these systems.The research scheme of a Ku-band high-power CW klystron is pro-posed.Some key technologies including cathode controlled single beam electron gun,partially shielded current permanent magnet focusing,and single section filter loading output circuit are adopted,therefore high transmit-tance of electron optical system,and efficient heat dissipation system of tube body and collector are realized.The klystron is fabricated and tested.It produces 18 kW output power in Ku-band within 100 MHz bandwidth,the ef-ficiency is 25%and the gain is 33 dB.The result indicates that the klystron meets the technical specifications.关键词
