Abstract
The development of an L-band broadband continuous wave(CW)helical traveling wave tube(TWT)is introduced.The working frequency range of the TWT is of 0.95~2 GHz(exceeding one octave band),the operating voltage is 3 400 V,and the output power is more than 220 W.The L-band CW TWT has the characteristics of wide frequency band,high power and low working voltage.It can be used as L-band centi-meter-wave power amplifier in various military and civil electronic systems.The performance design of the TWT is elaborated,with a focus on several key technologies,including second harmonic suppression,back wave oscil-lation suppression,high conductivity electron optical system design,and miniaturization design of energy trans-mission systems.Solutions to technical difficulties are introduced,and actual test results are presented.关键词
