摘要

Abstract

West Lake in Eryuan County is an important natural lake wetland in the subtropical plateau of Yunnan Province,and also an important stopover site for migratory birds on their way.Understanding the community structure and dynamics of birds in this area is of great importance for bird conservation.Therefore,the waterbird community in the whole area of West Lake in Eryuan was surveyed every month from 2020 to 2023 by using the sample line method and sample point method.The results showed that a total of 58 species of waterbirds belonging to 12 families and 8 orders were recorded,including 2 first-class national protected waterbirds and 9 second-class national protected waterbirds.In terms of waterbird community structure,the waterbirds in West Lake were mainly dominated by Palearctic species,wading birds,winter migratory birds,animal feeding species,and drilling ducks or diving ducks.From 2020 to 2023,the overall trends in waterbird density,diversity index,and evenness index showed an upward trajectory.Therefore,it is suggested that the relevant departments strengthen the monitoring and protection of waterbirds,continue to optimize their habitats,and further enhance the biodiversity of wetlands.
