Abstract
The thick S420 high strength steel of deep-water jacket is prone to transverse crack defects in the actual welding process of marine engineering.In this paper,the G-BOP test under low temperature and high humidity environment was used to test the transverse crack sensitivity of seam and seamless flux-cored wire gas-shielded welding under high con-straints.The effects of different diffusion hydrogen contents on the microstructure and transverse cracks of welds were stud-ied.The experimental results show that the diffusion hydrogen content and transverse crack sensitivity of the weld metal of the gas shielded welding with seam flux-cored wire are significantly higher than those of the gas shielded welding with seamless flux-cored wire.In the low temperature and high humidity environment,the moisture absorption of the seam flux-cored wire leads to a significant increase in the diffusion hydrogen content of the weld metal,and the crack rate of the trans-verse crack is linearly related to the diffusion hydrogen content.When the content of diffusion hydrogen in the seam flux-cored wire gas shielded welding is high,the transverse crack is easy to occur in the welding seam,which is mainly due to the formation of a large number of coarse proeutectoid ferrite and side lath ferrite in the weld metal and the microstructure inho-mogeneity between them and acicular ferrite.The hydrogen induced crack tends to initiate in the proeutectoid ferrite and side lath ferrite and propagate along the lath direction.When the seamless flux-cored wire gas shielded welding has low dif-fusion hydrogen content,a small amount of proeutectoid ferrite,discontinuous austenite grain boundaries and disordered in-terlaced acicular ferrite in the weld metal can be used to passivate hydrogen-induced cracks and interrupt the continuity of coarse proeutectoid ferrite,which has strong crack propagation resistance and low transverse crack sensitivity.关键词
