Abstract

At present,the main welding process qualification standards and specifications commonly employed in the weld-ing and manufacturing of marine structural engineering and subsea pressure pipelines within the company are primarily NB/T47014 and DNV-OS-F101.Taking the frequently utilized welding methods(GTAW/SMAW)and butt welds in engineering as examples,this paper conducts a comparative analysis of the crucial variables of the main welding procedures and the tests and inspections for qualification in the two standards.The results indicate that there are considerable differences between the two qualification standards,but similarities also exist.In actual production,when welding process technicians undertake the planning of welding process qualification in the early stage,based on the actual requirements of the project and by compre-hensively considering the compatibility between the two standards,they can rationally arrange the welding qualification tests,reduce the frequency and quantity of the tests to avoid unnecessary repetitions and cost waste,and effectively achieve the goal of cost reduction and efficiency enhancement.
