Abstract
As an important economic corridor in China,the shrinkage of county-level cities in the Yangtze River Economic Belt is of great significance for regional sustainable development.Based on the nighttime light remote sensing data,we identified the shrinking cities in the Yangtze River Economic Belt from the perspective of counties,and analyzed the spatial pattern of urban shrinkage through the Moran index.The results showed that①the urban shrinkage phenomenon in the Yangtze River Economic Belt showed an expanding trend,and the urban shrinkage mainly occurred in the upper and middle reaches of the Yangtze River from 2000 to 2015,while Yunnan Province,Sichuan Province and Guizhou Province were the areas with high incidence of urban shrinkage,and the county-level urban shrinkage phenomenon began to be distributed in the lower reaches of the Yangtze River from 2015 to 2020.Overall,the degree of urban shrinkage was relatively modest.②The spatial autocorrelation relationship of urban shrinkage was significant,and the spatial agglomeration effect of urban shrinkage was becoming more and more obvious,with the majority of high-high clusters in the upper reaches area,the rich spatial agglomeration types in the middle reaches,and the low-low clusters in the lower reaches area.关键词
