Abstract
As the scale of the electrical power system gradually expands,traditional approaches to solving the overcurrent protection co-ordination optimization problem may be limited by factors such as computational capacity,algorithm complexity,or the ability to search the solution space.Therefore,a chaos search-based class-top optimization(SCCTO)algorithm with an S-type acceleration coefficient for addressing the relay protection coordination optimization problem is proposed.Firstly,in the initialization phase of the SCCTO algorithm,chaotic search based on logical mapping is employed to generate an appropriately distributed set of initial particles.Then,to address the issue of a lack of diversity in global search during each iteration leading to local optimal convergence,the S-type function is introduced,allowing the algorithm to undergo a slow change in the initial stage to balance global search,and exponential convergence during the computation phase to accelerate the calculation speed.Finally,the optimal relay protection coordination problem is tested on three types of distribution networks.Simulation results demonstrate that with the improved class-top algorithm,the total operation time of relay protection is significantly reduced,effectively addressing the overcurrent protection coordination problem in power systems.关键词
