Abstract

To study the effects of storage temperature and storage time on the hatching results of Hedong Ma Chicken breed eggs in large-scale production,a total of 70,668 breed eggs of Hedong Ma Chicken No.1 at 32 weeks and 53 weeks of age were collected respectively.The changes in quality parameters of breed eggs under different storage conditions,as well as the changes in hatching rate and healthy chick rate of hatched chicks were detected.The results showed that prolonged storage time of breeding eggs led to an increase in pH value(P<0.05),a decrease in Haugh Units(HU)(P<0.05),and an increase in yolk proportion(P<0.05).Short-term storage for 3 days and 7 days significantly increased the healthy chick rate of breed eggs at 32 weeks of age(P<0.05).Short-term storage for 3 days significantly increased the healthy chick rate of breed eggs at 53 weeks of age(P<0.05).The hatching rate and healthy chick rate of 32-week-old breed eggs stored at 12 ℃ were significantly higher than those at 15 ℃ and 18 ℃(P<0.05).The research indicates that in production,incubating fresh Hedong Ma Chicken No.1 breed eggs after 3 to 7 days of storage can improve the hatching rate and healthy chick rate.When the storage time exceeds 7 days,storing at 12 ℃ can maintain a relatively high hatching rate and healthy chick rate.
