Analysis of Cracking Causes of a Retaining Wall and Discussion on Reinforcement Schemes

Abstract
A local crack appeared on a retaining wall,and there was a trend of further development,posing a potential safety hazard.According to the calculation and analysis,the most likely reason for the deformation and cracking of the retaining wall was the poor drainage on the top of the retaining wall,which led to an increase in the water pressure behind the wall.Under the combined action of water and earth pressure and the disturbance of road vehicles,the retaining wall was partially cracked.In view of the current situation of the retaining wall,through the comparison and selection of schemes,the reinforcement scheme of"anchor rod+lattice beam"was finally determined.After calculation,the stability safety factor of the retaining wall after reinforcement with this scheme met the requirements of the specification,which could provide reference for similar projects.关键词
