Abstract
The research on the mechanism of acupuncture analgesia experienced a campaign-style and wave-like development from the 1950s to the 1970s.This historical period serves as a microcosm of the development of many disciplines in China and is also an important case for studying the history of disciplines with Chinese characteristics.The Shanghai Institute of Physiology,Chinese Academy of Sciences,became the most important domestic scientific research institution for the study of the mechanism of acupuncture anesthesia due to its outstanding academic contributions during the wave of research on acupuncture analgesia.This article analyzes the influence of the research on acupuncture analgesia under the influence of organized national scientific research on disciplinary planning,scientific research achievements,and the academic trajectories of scientists by sorting out the historical archives of the Shanghai Institute of Physiology´s participation in the research process of the mechanism of acupuncture analgesia.It can be seen that in the scenario of national tasks of organized scientific research,the discourse power of academic leaders in the Institute of Physiology has significantly decreased,and the scientific research autonomy of researchers has been severely challenged.The advancement of the institute´s original advantageous research directions has been disrupted.However,quite dramatically,during the same period,the research on analgesia has risen abruptly and entered a high-speed development track.This phenomenon not only constitutes a unique landscape in the history of scientific research development in China but also shapes a unique disciplinary development context,providing a sample worthy of in-depth exploration for the research on the history of related disciplines.关键词
