Genetic variation and early selection of growth traits for Aquilaria sinensis'Qinan'
摘要
Abstract
[Objective]To study the genetic variation of growth traits of clones of Aquilaria sinensis'Qinan'and se-lect fast-growing clones for Aquilaria sinensis'Qinan'at early stage,which could provide scientific basis for early genetic breeding of Aquilaria sinensis'Qinan'and the planting and promotion of artificial forests of Aquilaria sinensis'Qinan'in Foshan.[Method]Twenty-five clones of Aquilaria sinensis'Qinan'planted in Yanghe Town,Gaoming District,Foshan City,Guangdong Province were taken as the research objects.Randomized block trials were conducted to investi-gate the growth characteristics(tree height and diameter at grafting height)of each clone of Aquilaria sinensis'Qinan'in December of 2021,2022 and 2023.Variance analysis was conducted on different growth traits of 25 Aquilaria sinensis'Qinan'clones in different years,and genetic parameters such as repeatability,genetic coefficient of variation,coeffi-cient of phenotypic variation,and correlation coefficient between traits were estimated.A comprehensive evaluation was conducted on 25 clones of Aquilaria sinensis'Qinan',and the genetic gain of the selected excellent clones was estimated.[Result]There was great variation in the early growth of Aquilaria sinensis'Qinan'clones.There were extremely signifi-cant differences in tree height and diameter at grafting height between different years in the interactions between blocks/years,clones,and block×clone/year×clone(P<0.01,the same below).The coefficients of variation for tree height and diameter at grafting height of 2023(3-year-old)Aquilaria sinensis'Qinan'clone were 0.17 and 0.24 respectively.The genetic variation coefficients of tree height and diameter at grafting height in different years of Aquilaria sinensis'Qinan'clones were 9.04%-14.44%and 13.11%-15.72%respectively;the phenotypic coefficients of variation were 15.83%-24.30%and 20.41%-26.87%respectively.The repeatability of the height and diameter at grafting height of Aquilaria sinensis'Qinan'clones in different years were 0.86-0.93 and 0.82-0.92 respectively,and the multi-year repeatability were 0.82 and 0.80 respectively.There was significant(P<0.05)or extremely significant genetic positive correlation be-tween the tree height and diameter at grafting height of Aquilaria sinensis'Qinan'clones in the same year,and there was also extremely significant genetic positive correlation between the same growth trait between different years.There were two elite clones,Jinsiyou(G11)and Qinanyihao(G10)was selected according to the growth performance in 2021-2023.From 2021 to 2023,the genetic gains for tree height of G11 and G10 clones were 16.64%,19.83%,10.07%,and 18.77%,15.05%,9.58%respectively.The genetic gains for the diameter at grafting height of G11 and G10 clones were 28.05%,30.28%,27.17%and 12.40%,14.06%,10.83%respectively.[Conclusion]Two clones of Aquilaria sinensis'Qinan'were selected in Foshan with strong adaptability(Jinsiyou and Qinanyihao),which have the characteristics of fast and stable early growth and can be used as the preferred clones for promotion and planting.关键词
