基于雷达比衰减的定量降水估计算法对比分析
Comparative analysis of radar specific attenuation-based algorithms for quantitative precipitation estimation

Abstract
This study focuses on the key technology of quantitative precipitation estimation.Aiming at the limitations of the traditional reflectivity factor method R(Z)in extreme precipitation events,a precipitation estimation algorithm based on specific attenuation A is introduced.Taking an extreme precipitation event in Qinzhou City,Guangxi,on May 19,2024 as a case,S-band dual-polarization radar data are used to compare the R(A)method with the conventional R(Z)approach.The results indicate that:(1)the traditional R(Z)relationship Z=300R1.4 underestimates heavy rainfall,while the tropical Z-R relation Z=250R1.2 can capture large-scale precipitation,but overestimates the precipitation intensity and fails to capture localized features.(2)The R(A)method significantly reduces sensitivity to droplet size distribution variations by dynamically calculating the specific attenuation A with the highest agreement between the estimation results and the data from the rain gauge,and can accurately resolve the spatial structure of precipitation.The anti-attenuation and low calibration dependence characteristics of R(A)enhance the accuracy of heavy rainfall monitoring,providing insights for operational applications of dual-polarization radar.关键词
