Abstract

To evaluate the dynamic changes in the overall remote sensing ecological index(RSEI)in the Dongting Lake Basin from 2013 to 2023,this study analyzes the spatial distribution variations of RSEI and explores potential influencing factors based on the remotely sensed data of the Dongting Lake Basin during 2013-2023 by using the principal component analysis method.The results indicate that there is a significant positive correlation between precipitation and RSEI index(correlation coefficient of 0.781,p<0.05),and years with more rainfall significantly increase the RSEI index and improve the quality of the ecological environment.Additionally,other factors such as human activities and land-use changes are found to impact the ecological environment,especially in the areas of urban expansion and intensive agricultural activities,the RSEI index decreases significantly.
