Publication Processes,Editorial Norms and Inspiration for United Nations Publications
摘要
Abstract
The quality of United Nation(UN)publications plays a key role in maintaining its reputation for serious,impartial,accurate and transparent reporting,and also in winning respect and support for its work.In order to ensure the quality level of its publications and the coherence of its publishing policies,the UN has established strict regulations on its publishing processes and has compiled an authoritative guide on the style of UN publications,i.e.UN Editorial Manual.The publication process and editorial norms of UN pablications both have reference value for foreign language publishing in China:the division of labor among editors should be refined,and the publishing processes should be optimized;unified editorial norms and a translation corpus should be established;the political sensitivities of editors should be improved;multi-lingual editorial talents should be cultivated.关键词
