Abstract

The existing broadband parametric array preprocessing methods based on Berktay's far-field solution theo-ry cannot maintain stable carrier power.Aiming to address this issue,this paper proposes a new square root ampli-tude modulation method that ensures stable carrier power.The proposed method can adapt to changes in the modu-lation coefficient and the number of line spectra through adjustments in the DC component in the envelope expres-sion,thereby maintaining a stable carrier power.The paper analyzes the difference frequency consistency,control-lability of the relative difference frequency power,and the carrier power stability of the proposed method in compar-ison with the traditional single sideband amplitude modulation method and designs corresponding tank experiments.The study shows that,while maintaining stable carrier power,the new method can quantitatively control the relative difference frequency power,with carrier power fluctuations limited to within-1.5~1.5 dB.The proposed method not only enables control of the relative difference frequency power but also ensures stable control of the carrier pow-er,thereby guaranteeing the reliability of subsequent operations.
