Performance of turbine under wide working conditions based on the selection law of design parameters

Abstract
Considering the selection laws for design parameters,a comparative study was conducted on the flow characteristics of turbines under multiple operating conditions,aiming to achieve high-efficiency operation of marine gas turbines across all operating conditions.The purpose is to address the flow mismatch between row-row compo-nents in turbines designed for wide-operating conditions.The study demonstrates that,for multistage power tur-bines,altering the flow angle has a greater influence on flow behavior than modifying the wedge angle.Increasing the outlet flow angle and reducing the trailing edge wedge angle of the stator,along with increasing the inlet flow angle and reducing the leading edge wedge angle of the rotor,can effectively reduce the performance loss of the tur-bine under low-loading conditions.Leveraging the derived selection laws for design parameters in wide-operating condition turbines,a multistage turbine is optimized,leading to a remarkable 45%reduction in entropy increase at the outlet of the second-stage stator under low operating conditions.Therefore,the performance of the turbine in wide-operating conditions is substantially improved.关键词
