Abstract
Objective To understand the current situation and influencing factors of tobacco use among adolescents in Tongren City,and to provide scientific a scientific basis for targeted smoking interventions and the formulation of health policies.Methods A cross-sectional survey was conducted among junior high,senior high,and vocational high school students in 10 counties(districts)of Tongren City from September to November 2023 using stratified cluster random sampling.The influencing factors of tobacco used among adolescents in Tongren City were analyzed using chi-square tests and logistic regression models.Results The current smoking rate and ever-smoking rate among adolescents in Tongren City were 7.34%and 10.80%,respectively.Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that gender,school type,whether smoking was allowed at home,having friends who smoke,willingness to accept cigarettes from friends,exposure to teacher smoking,perceived difficulty of quitting smoking,perception that smoking is attractive,and awareness of e-cigarette hazards were significant risk factors for smoking among students(P<0.05).Conclusion The efforts to control smoking should be strengthened in schools and families,with a particular focus on male students and vocational high school students,while the awareness of adolescents regarding the dangers of smoking and e-cigarettes should be enhanced.关键词
