Analysis on Smoking Control Environment Surveillance in Public Places in Songjiang District of Shanghai,2022

Abstract
Objective To understand the current situation of tobacco control environment in various public places in Songjiang District,residents'cognition and attitude towards tobacco control,cognition and attitude of e-cigarette,to provide basis for further tobacco control related work.Methods From May to June 2022,on-site observation method was used to monitor the tobacco control environment in 14 categories of 112 public places in Songjiang District.The implementation of tobacco control measures in each place was recorded and questionnaires were conducted among the people in these public places.Results In 2022,the proportions of tobacco control publicity materials,smoking warning pictures,smoking control reporting telephones,smoking signs,no smoking sets,and no cigarette butts were 66.07%,75.00%,91.07%,93.75%,88.39%and 77.68%in Songjiang District of Shanghai,respectively.A total of 26(23.21%)public places were found to be smoking,of which 1(3.85%)smokers used electronic cigarettes,and 8(30.77%)public places were discouraged.The smoking rate of respondents was 20.89%,including 42.06%in men and 2.31%in women.The support rates of the public for the right of everyone to enjoy a smoke-free environment,the nationwide ban on smoking,and the inclusion of electronic cigarettes in the Shanghai Public Places Smoking Control Regulations were 95.13%,85.21%,and 82.80%.The awareness rates of filter tips can't reducing smoking hazards,passive smoking hazards,and electronic cigarettes not being able to help quit smoking were 29.96%,68.43%,and 52.84%.Conclusion The publicity of tobacco control in all kinds of public places should be further carried out to improve residents'awareness of tobacco control knowledge and total ban on smoking,and strengthen their cognition of e-cigarettes.关键词
