Application of the umbilical moxibustion therapy based on the concept of"administering a preventive treatment of diseases"in preventing the occurrence of related complications in patients with cardiogenic edema

Abstract
Objective To explore the application effect of umbilical moxibustion therapy based on the concept of"administering a preventive treatment of diseases"in preventing the occurrence of related complications in patients with cardiogenic edema.Methods Eighty patients with cardiogenic edema who received treatment in the hospital were included from January 2022 to January 2024,and were divided into a control group(n=40,receiving a routine treatment)and an observation group(n=40,receiving the routine treatment plus the umbilical moxibustion therapy based on the concept of administering a preventive treatment of diseases)by means of simple random sampling.The incidence of edema and complications was compared between the two groups after treatment,as well as the cardiac function[the levels of cardiac troponin 1(cTn1),B-type natriuretic peptide(BNP)],the albumin level,the TCM syndrome scores and quality of life between the two groups before and after treatment.Results After treatment,compared with the control group,the improvement rate of edema,quality of life scores and albumin level in the observation group were higher(P<0.05),while the TCM syndrome scores and the total complication rate were lower in the observation group(P<0.05).After treatment,the levels of cTn1 and BNP were lower in the observation group than those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The umbilical moxibustion therapy based on the concept of"administering a preventive treatment of diseases"can better improve the edema occurrence and cardiac function in patients with cardiogenic edema,increase the level of albumin,alleviate clinical symptoms,better prevent the occurrence of related complications,and improve the quality of life of patients.关键词
