Abstract

In order to explore the feasibility and performance advantages of sinter steel slag as a new road material,this paper systematically analyzed the properties of steel slag asphalt mixture by setting two kinds of steel slag content of 20%and 35%.The results showed that the ce-ment grade of steel slag and asphalt remained above grade 4 at 6h and 24h,indicating that the chemical compatibility of steel slag was better than that of traditional limestone aggregate.Marshall test shows that the stability of the mixture increases linearly with the increase of steel slag content(20%~35%).The stiffness modulus of steel slag mixture increases with the increase of loading frequency,and the goodness of fit of fatigue life equation reaches0.93~0.99,which shows that the mixture has excellent anti-fatigue performance.The rutting depth of 35%slag mixture is 18%lower than that of the benchmark group,and the resistance to permanent deformation is significantly improved.The tensile strength ratio of steel slag mixture(92%~96%)meets the specification requirements,and 35%steel slag group performs best.
