Abstract

Dongba ancient books are the encyclopedias that record the ancient Naxi society.It is added to the Memory of the World Heritage List.It plays an extremely important role in the study of minority culture and the evolution and development of minority nationalities.However,with the passage of time,there are fewer and fewer Dongba priests alive who can interpret all Dongba Scriptures and have high level and master level.It is urgent to use artificial intelligence technology to help realize the automatic translation of Dongba Scriptures.Therefore,an end-to-end system for analyzing and identifying the layout of Dongba ancient books based on the Annotated Collection of Naxi Dongba Manuscripts is designed and implemented.The system realizes the edge detection,page segmentation,classification and extraction of the original text,pronunciation and Chinese translation of Dongba scriptures,and OCR recognition of the translation.After testing,the whole system in the document page segmentation,text block classification and recognition show a good effect,the accuracy rate reaches 99.24%,96.34%and 97.2%,the comprehensive accuracy rate reaches 97.59%.It lays a foundation for constructing the database of Dongba ancient books and realizing the automatic translation of Dongba classics.
