Abstract

To prevent traffic safety accidents caused by distracted driving in highway environments,a recognition model for distracted driving is established based on the gaze behavior of highway drivers.A probability statistical fitting analysis is conducted on the distribution characteristics of gaze data from safety driving tests on highways under different lighting conditions.It is determined that the GazeHeading angle and the pitch angle are normally distributed when the gaze is in the main visual area,and the logarithmic normal distribution.Based on the probability interval fitting of the gaze angle in the main visual area,the probability distribution of the duration of gaze leaving the main visual area is calculated,and the average blinking time of the driver is calculated.A high-speed road driving distraction recognition simulation model is constructed and validated with the duration of leaving the main visual area and the average blinking time as inputs.The experimental results show that the weaker the illumination,the more attention the driver pays to the center of the road,and their sights tend to shift upwards,with a significant increase in the observationrange above and below the line of sight.The constructed high-speed driving distraction model can effectively identify visual and cognitive distractions during the driving process,providing ideas for the development of traffic safety accident prevention technologies caused by distracted driving on high-speed roads.
