Abstract

Objectives The lack of effective monitoring and management methods for large coal bunkers is a major cause of bulk coal blockages.By integrating multiple monitoring techniques with an advanced man-agement software system,the storage conditions of bulk coal in large coal bunkers can be effectively moni-tored and controlled,providing technical support for the efficient operation and utilization of coal storage fa-cilities.Methods This study proposes a coal bunker monitoring and management system based on multi-source information fusion.The hardware framework includes single-point radar level gauges,3D radar level gauges,and online ash-moisture analyzers for raw coal to monitor the storage status of incoming coal.The software framework incorporates a material level management platform,a central control system,and an edge computing system to manage and visualize coal bunker monitoring data in real time.Results The engi-neering test results demonstrate that integrating a single-point radar level gauge with a 3D radar level gauge enables precise determination of the coal storage status in the coal bunker,thereby facilitating real-time monitoring of the coal level.Installing an online moisture and ash content analyzer at the coal bunker's feed inlet allows for continuous monitoring of the moisture and ash content of incoming coal.The coal bunker management system software can systematically organize and manage the monitoring data from the coal bun-ker while integrating it with the weighing sheet data for coal discharge and loading,thus enabling compre-hensive management of the coal bunker's storage status.By combining the coal storage data from the coal bunker management system with intelligent algorithms designed for coal fluidity,the technical parameters of the coal bunker cleaning and blocking equipment can be effectively controlled,leading to automated cleaning and blockage prevention in the coal bunker.Conclusions The coal bunker monitoring and intelli-gent management of coal storage,allowing for accurate tracking of coal quality stratification.This system provides reliable and precise data support for intelligent coal loading in mines,significantly enhancing the accuracy and responsiveness of coal bunker management.
