Abstract

The research findings on the vibration characteristics of subways and their propagation characteristics within buildings,subway vibration damping measures,and dual control technology for both seismic and vibration effects were reviewed and summarized.The current issues in research and application were also discussed.Firstly,the research points out the characteristics of subway vibrations,which include a wide distribution of frequencies,small amplitudes,and a predominance of vertical components.Within buildings,the high-frequency components of subway vibrations decay rapidly with the floor level,while the mid-low frequency components,which are close to the structural fundamental frequency,decay slowly or even amplify.To reduce the impact of subway vibrations,vibration control can be implemented at the source and along the external propagation path of the building.However,research indicates that such vibration control measures have issues such as limited damping frequency range and low damping efficiency in the low-frequency range.From the perspective of building isolation bearings,vertical isolation bearings have high vertical damping efficiency but insufficient horizontal seismic isolation capability;steel spring bearings are more maturely applied,while other types of vertical isolation bearings are more focused on theoretical research and have less practical application.Dual control devices for seismic and vibration effects can be divided into two types:separated three-dimensional seismic and vibration damping and isolation devices,and integrated three-dimensional seismic isolation(vibration)devices.When designing dual control for seismic and vibration effects,it is important to focus on the sway effect of the structure under seismic action.Currently,the application of dual control devices in engineering is limited,and in the future,it is necessary to improve the design methods for different devices,demonstrate their applicability and cost-effectiveness,and thus promote the application and promotion of dual control devices.Three types of application examples of dual control technology for seismic and vibration effects were provided,with the hope of providing reference and significance for similar projects.
