Abstract
The unique gardening philosophy and refined design techniques of Ming and Qing Jiangnan gardens offer significant value for contemporary landscape design and cultural heritage preservation.Their complex spatial compositions make physical model-making especially effective for rapid design iteration and presentation in landscape architecture education.This study focuses on manual model creation at a 1∶100 scale,systematically extracting typical gardening characteristics across five aspects:overall spatial composition,architecture,rockery construction,water feature design,and planting arrangement.By categorizing and summarizing model-making methods,it explores manual modeling approaches that faithfully represent Jiangnan garden features,while being time-efficient and suitable for educational purposes,aiming to provide practical references for similar garden modeling projects in academic settings.关键词
