Abstract

In order to investigate the role of different narrow fractions of circulating solvents in the process of direct coal liquefaction,explore the key components to alleviate the pressure of lique-faction reaction,and guide the preparation of high-performance solvents via the optimization of solvent components,the properties and composition of the narrow fractions of medium temperature solvent(distillation range temperature is 210℃-350℃)and the high temperature solvent(distillation range temperature is>350℃)obtained from the 0.18 t/d coal direct liquefaction continuous unit using Shendong Bulianta coal were analyzed.The effect of narrow fractions on the viscosity of oil-coal slurry and liquefaction performance of Shendong Bulianta coal under mild conditions(6.0 MPa)and severe conditions(10.0 MPa)were discussed.The results show that as the distillation range tempera-ture of the narrow fractions increases,the solvent density increases and the n(H)/n(C)gradually decreases.Adding different narrow fractions of medium temperature solvents to the coal-oil slurry can reduce its viscosity,however,adding high-temperature solvents increases the viscosity.The liquefac-tion performance of Shendong Bulianta coal is associated with the solvent composition of different narrow fractions.Within the distillation range temperature of 210℃-270℃,the main components of the narrow fractions are cycloalkanes and monocyclic aromatic hydrocarbons,and the liquefaction con-version and oil yield of Shendong Bulianta coal are relatively low.As the distillation range tempera-ture further increases to above 270℃,the content of bicyclic aromatic hydrocarbons gradually increases,and the liquefaction conversion and oil yield significantly increase.In addition,as the initial hydrogen pressure decreases from 10.0 MPa to 6.0 MPa,the initial temperature of the distillation fractions that promote the coal liquefaction performance increases from 250℃to 270℃,indicating that relatively high-temperature distillation fractions in medium temperature solvent are conducive to the alleviation of liquefaction reaction conditions.
