Cultivation of Haematococcus pluvialis in Sanya,Hainan

Abstract
Astaxanthin is regarded as one of the most potent antioxidants in nature,exerting multifaceted positive ef-fects on human health.Among various natural sources,Haematococcus pluvialis stands out for its particularly remarkable astaxanthin content.Given that Sanya is located in the tropics,its high-temperature environment poses certain limitations on the growth of Haematococcus pluvialis.This study,taking into account the climatic characteristics of Sanya,identified the period from November to the early following April as the optimal cultivation period for Haematococcus pluvialis due to the mild climate.In terms of cultivation techniques,the transparent thin-film raceway cultivation system was innovatively adopted and combined with shading net and greenhouse facilities to precisely control the light intensity at 2 778~5 556 lx and the temperature within the range of 20~28℃.Through experimental testing and analysis,it was found that Haemato-coccus pluvialis is rich in protein(26.0%~44.0%).A total of fifteen amino acids were detected in Haematococcus pluvia-lis,with high levels of aspartic acid,leucine and glutamic acid(9.3%~13.1%),and low levels of histidine,tyrosine and isoleucine(2.4%~4.4%).This comprehensive cultivation strategy optimizes the growth environment of Haematococcus plu-vialis in the tropics,promotes the biosynthesis and accumulation of algal-derived astaxanthin,and provides a feasible technical path for the commercial cultivation of Haematococcus pluvialis in the tropics.关键词
