Abstract

The straw to grain ratio and straw collectible coefficient of major rice varieties in Chongming,Jinshan,Pudong,Fengxian,Songjiang,and Qingpu Districts of Shanghai were measured.The results showed that the straw to grain ratio of rice ranged from 1.22 to 1.41,with an average of 1.30 in Shanghai in 2023.The straw to grain ratio of rice was significantly and negatively correlated with total spikelet per panicle,panicle length,and amylose content.The straw to grain ratio of different rice varieties was as follows:soft conventional japonica rice>non-soft conventional japonica rice>hybrid japonica rice.Under the stubble height of 15 cm,the collectible coefficient of rice straw ranged from 0.76 to 0.89,with an average of 0.82 in Shanghai.Based on the straw to grain ratio and straw collectible coefficient of rice,the collectible amount of rice straw was calculated to be 907 700 t in Shanghai in 2021.This study could provide data support for the comprehensive utilization of straw in Shanghai.
