Analysis of genetic diversity and population structure of Jiading Meishan pigs based on SNP chips and its applications

Abstract
The purpose of this study was to analyze the genetic diversity and structure of Jiading Meishan pigs by nucleotide polymorphism(SNP)chip,sort out the breeding pig lineage and inbreeding degree in Jiading Meishan pig breeding,improve the breeding program and the production performance of Jiading Meishan pigs.The genetic diversity and population structure of 333 Jiading Meishan pigs were analyzed by SNP chips,and the inbred number of Jiading Meishan pig population was calculated.The family lines were redivided by evolutionary tree,and the breeding preservation scheme was planned based on the new family lines to carry out breeding preservation production.The results showed that the observed heterozygosity of Jiading Meishan pig population was 0.173,the expected heterozygosity was 0.175,the average genomic inbreeding coefficient was 0.148,and there was some inbreeding.According to the SNP chip analysis of the genetic relationship of Meishan pig population,the breeding pig population was divided into 7 families by eliminating the breeding pigs with low production performance.The breeding plan was formulated according to the new family,the litter number of Meishan pigs in Jiading in 2024 increased by 2.11 and the live litter number increased by 0.97 compared with the previous year.This study can provide a reference for improving the production perfermance of Jiading Meishan pigs.关键词
