Abstract

This study systematically compared pesticide residue regulations for Polygonati rhizoma(Huangjing)under China's Green Food standards and National Food Safety Standards.Through documentary analysis of registered pesticides,permissible pesticide lists for green food production,and maximum residue limits(MRLs),the following findings were obtained:Only 3 pesticide formulations were currently registered for Polygonati rhizoma cultivation,all permissible under green food standards(NY/T 393-2020).GB 2763-2021 specified 43 MRLs for pesticides potentially relevant to Polygonati rhizome,NY/T 1507-2016 restricted residues to 11 pesticides,including imidacloprid and chlorothalonil,with only 34 registered products across 4 active ingredients.Zero pesticide products were specifically registered for medicinal Polygonati rhizoma applications.It was recommended to improve the standard system for pesticide residue limits on medicine food homology and medicinal plants,and strengthen their basic research on pesticide residues,with a view to providing scientific references for the comprehensive control of plant diseases and insect pests in Polygonati rhizoma and Good Agricultural Practice for Chinese Crude Drugs(GAP)planting.
