Abstract

Objective:To establish the infrared fingerprint of Chinese patent medicine Xihuang Pill,and to investigate the effectiveness of the infrared fingerprint in the analysis and identification of Chinese patent medicine Xihuang Pill from different manufacturers by cluster analysis.Methods:Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR)was used for the first time to determine and analyze 13 batches of Chinese patent medicine Xihuang Pill samples from 9 different manufacturers.The transmittance was 4000-400 cm-1.SPSS 26.0 was used to analyze the correlation coefficient and the Angle cosine value between the infrared spectra of each sample of Xihuang Pill,and the infrared fingerprint of Xihuang Pill was established.The whole spectrum of Xihuang Pill was used for similarity analysis and cluster analysis.Results:The infrared fingerprint of Chinese patent medicine Xihuang Pill was obtained.The analysis of common peak similarity showed that the infrared finger-print had good consistency and high similarity.And 15 characteristic absorption peaks of its infrared fingerprint were deter-mined,and the number of waves from left to right were as follows:3400 cm-1,2927 cm-1,1712 cm-1,1663 cm-1,1631 cm-1,1545 cm-1,1455 cm-1,1378 cm-1,1319 cm-1,1244 cm-1,1155 cm-1,1079 cm-1,1027 cm-1,774 cm-1 and 603 cm-1.The similarity and correlation coefficients of common feature peaks were all above 0.980.The results of whole spectrum analysis showed that the samples of Xihuang Pill from different manufacturers could be distinguished obviously by cluster analysis method.Conclusion:FTIR can be used for the qualitative identification of Chinese patent medicine Xi-huang Pill.This method has good repeatability,precision and stability.Combined with cluster analysis,Xihuang Pill from different manufacturers can be accurately distinguished.
