焦氏头针配合耳针治疗小儿难治性癫痫的疗效观察
Observations on the efficacy of Jiao's scalp acupuncture plus ear acupuncture for pediatric refractory epilepsy

Abstract
Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of Jiao's scalp acupuncture plus ear acupuncture for pediatric refractory epilepsy.Method Sixty patients with refractory epilepsy were randomized to observation and control groups,with 30 cases in each group.The control group was treated with antiepileptics according to the type of epilepsy and by basic and conventional rehabilitation and the observation group,by Jiao's scalp acupuncture plus ear acupuncture in addition.The scores of verbal intelligence quotient(VIQ),performance intelligence quotient(PIQ)and full-scale intelligence quotient(FSIQ)in the Wechsler intelligence scale for children-fourth edition(WISC-Ⅳ)and the frequency and duration of epileptic seizure were observed in two groups before and after treatment.The clinical therapeutic effects were compared between the two groups.Result The total efficacy rate was significantly higher in the observation group(90.0%)than in the control group(83.3%)with a statistically significant difference between the two groups(P＜0.05).After treatment,the frequency and duration of epileptic seizure decreased in the two groups(P＜0.05)and were lower in the observation group than in the control group with a statistically significant difference(P＜0.05).After treatment,the VIQ,PIQ and FSIQ scores increased in the two groups compared with before(P＜0.05)and were higher in the observation group than in the control group with a statistically significant difference(P＜0.05).Conclusion On the basis of antiepileptics plus basic and conventional rehabilitation treatment,Jiao's scalp acupuncture plus ear acupuncture has clinically a marked therapeutic effect on pediatric refractory epilepsy.The effect is especially prominent in improving children's intelligence.关键词
