经皮穴位电刺激防治鼻咽癌放射性口腔干燥症的临床观察
Clinical observation of transcutaneous electrical acupoint stimulation in preventive treatment of radiation-induced xerostomia in nasopharyngeal carcinoma

Abstract
Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of transcutaneous electrical acupoint stimulation(TEAS)in preventive treating radiation-induced xerostomia(RX)in nasopharyngeal carcinoma(NPC).Method A total of 136 NPC patients who were going to receive radiotherapy were randomized into a trial group and a control group,each consisting of 68 participants.The control group was offered conventional nursing care after daily radiotherapy,and the trial group received additional TEAS treatment.Before and after the intervention,the two groups were observed for changes in the unstimulated salivary flow rate(SFR),stimulated SFR,cancer fatigue scale(CFS)score,and numerical rating scale(NRS)score for pain assessment.The level of xerostomia was also compared between the two groups.Result The difference in the xerostomia level between the two groups was statistically significant after the treatment(P＜0.05).The unstimulated and stimulated SFRs showed significant differences regarding the grouping,time,and interactive effects in both groups after the treatment(P＜0.05);the trial group had higher unstimulated and stimulated SFRs than the control group after 4,5 weeks of treatment,and after the treatment,respectively(P＜0.05).The CFS score demonstrated significant differences regarding the group,time,and interactive effects in the two groups after the treatment(P＜0.05);the CFS score was lower in the trial group than in the control group after 4,5 weeks of treatment,and after the treatment,respectively(P＜0.05).After the treatment,the NRS score showed notable differences regarding the time effect in both groups(P＜0.05)but showed insignificant differences regarding the group and interactive effects(P＞0.05);there was no significant difference in the NRS score between the two groups(P＞0.05).Conclusion When combined with conventional nursing care,TEAS can improve RX in NPC patients and help in reducing cancer-related fatigue.关键词
