Seasonal Variations in Blood Pressure:Current Research Trends and Hotspots from a Global Perspective

Abstract
Objective Through the metrology and visualization analysis of domestic and foreign literature on the topic of seasonal variations in blood pressure,to explore the domestic and foreign research hotspots and development trends in this field,and to explore their limitations.Methods Literature on seasonal variations in blood pressure published in CNKI,Wanfang Database,VIP,Sino Med,and Web of Science by May 1,2024 were retrieved for a self-established data-base.Bibliometrics research methods and CiteSpace 6.3.R1 software were employed for visual analysis of institutions,au-thors,keywords,and so on.Results 143 Chinese literatures and 593 English literatures were included.Among them,CAO Ping-liang and Kario were the authors with the greatest number of literature published in China and foreign countries,re-spectively while Nanchang University and Jichi Medical University were the core institutions in this field.The high-fre-quency keywords in Chinese and English literature included"hypertension","blood pressure"and"seasonal variation"in Chinese,as well as"blood pressure","seasonal variation"and"mortality"in English.Through co-occurrence,cluste-ring,timeline,and emergence analysis of keywords,the study found the research hotspots in this field in the past 20 years,which were the influence of seasonal variations in blood pressure on cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases,the regu-lation of temperature on seasonal variations in blood pressure,as well as the key population.Conclusion Under the assis-tance of CiteSpace 6.3.R1 software,this study reveals the hotspots,frontiers,and development trends in the research field of seasonal variations in blood pressure,providing evidence and ideas for further exploration of intensive antihypertensive treatment under the guidance of chronobiology.关键词
