MgO改性PP复合材料的制备及性能研究
Preparation and Properties Study of MgO-modified PP Composites

Abstract
Sodium stearate-modified magnesium oxide(MgO)was incorporated into polypropylene(PP)to prepare MgO/PP composites,and their mechanical properties,thermal conductivity,and insulation properties were investigated.The results showed that with the increase in the mass fraction of the modified MgO,the tensile strength and elongation at break of the composites initially increased and then decreased,while the thermal conductivity(λ)increased linearly and the volume resistivity(Rv)first decreased gradually and then decreased significantly.When the mass fraction of MgO was 3%,the prepared MgO/PP composite exhibited good comprehensive properties.It not only enhanced the thermal conductivity of the composite but also maintained good mechanical and insulation properties.Compared with pure PP,the λ of the composite increased by 137.4%,the tensile strength and elongation at break increased by 2.0%and 1.3%,respectively,the characteristic breakdown strength(E0)increased by 24.0%,and although the Rv was lower than that of pure PP,it still maintained a high level of insulation properties.关键词
