Effects of compound probiotics on growth performance,serum biochemical indexes,slaughter performance,and immune function of broilers

Abstract
The study aimed to investigate the effects of a compound probiotics consisting of Clostridium butyricum and Kluyveromyces marxianus on growth performance,serum biochemical indexes,slaughter performance,and immune function of broilers were investigated.A total of 300 one-day-old healthy white-feathered broilers with similar body conditions were randomly divided into three groups,with five replicates per group and 20 white-feathered broilers per replicate.The control group was fed a basal diet while experimental groups 1 and 2 fed the basal diet with 0.1%and 0.2%compound probiotics.The trial lasted for 42 days.The results showed that compared with the control group,the feed-to-gain ratio at 1 to 21 days of age in the experimental group 2 was decreased significantly(P<0.05),and the average daily gain at 22 to 42 days of age was increased significantly(P<0.05).In all experimental groups,the level of uric acid at 21 days of age was decreased significantly(P<0.05).In the experimental group 2,the levels of cholesterol and uric acid at 42 days of age were decreased significantly(P<0.05)and the evisceration rate at 21 and 42 days of age was increased significantly(P<0.05).In the experimental group 2,the spleen index at 21 days of age and the thymus index at 42 days of age were increased significantly(P<0.05).The level of immunoglobulin M in serum was increased significantly in the experimental group 1(P<0.05).The levels of immunoglobulin A,immunoglobulin G,and immunoglobulin M in serum were all increased significantly in the experimental group 2(P<0.05).The study indicates that the addition of a compound probiotics consisting of Clostridium butyricum and Kluyveromyces marxianus to the diet can improve the growth performance,slaughter performance,serum biochemical indexes,and immune function of broilers.The appropriate additive dosage of compound probiotics is 0.2%.关键词
