摘要

Abstract

This study aimed to comprehensively analyze the development trends and research frontiers of international smart animal husbandry for herbivorous livestock over the past 30 years and provide visualized data support.Using articles related to smart herbivorous livestock farming published between 1996 and 2023 from the Web of Science(WOS)core database,CiteSpace(6.3.R1)was employed to conduct co-occurrence analysis,clustering analysis,burst analysis,and visualization of annual publication trends,country contributions,research institutions,journals,and keyword citations.The results showed that a total of 276 English literatures on intelligent breeding of herbivorous livestock were obtained.An overall upward trend in publication numbers over the past three decades.Leading research institutions included the Indian Council of Agricultural Research,the Spanish National Research Council,and China Agricultural University.Prominent international journals included Animal Feed Science and Technology,Journal of Animal Science,and Journal of Dairy Science.The main research directions of intelligent animal husbandry for herbivorous livestock are precision animal husbandry,big data,artificial intelligence,computer modeling and intelligent management.The study indicates that future research should focus on advancing intelligent livestock equipment,developing AI chips tailored for animal husbandry,and establishing integrated smart animal husbandry cloud platforms.
