Abstract

The study aims to elucidate the research hotspots and development trends of guava leaves in domestic and international research fields.By retrieving guava leaf-related literature from the China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI)and Web of Science(WOS)from January 1,2004,to June 7,2024,the CiteSpace software was used to conduct a visual analysis of publication volume,authors,institutions,and keywords.The results showed that a total of 2 554 eligible articles were retrieved,including 264 Chinese articles and 2 290 English articles.The annual publication volume exhibited a fluctuating upward trend overall.The institutions with the highest number of Chinese and English publications were South China University of Technology(12 articles)and the Indian Council of Agricultural Research(ICAR,132 articles),respectively.The authors with the highest number of Chinese and English publications were Zhou Yingchun(11 articles)and VIANA A P(12 articles),respectively.Current research focuses in this field include the extraction process of total flavonoids from guava leaves,their antioxidant effects,and their development as feed additives.Compared to Chinese literature,English literature also explores areas such as the development of green formulations,ecological environmental stress,and breeding technologies.The study indicates that the results of visual analysis can provide reference for the subsequent development and application of guava leaves as feed additives.
