两种挺水植物对水中砷的吸收转运及形态转化差异
Absorption,Translocation and Speciation of Arsenic in Two Macrophytes
摘要
Abstract
Typha orientalis and Lythrum salicaria are common species of aquatic vegetation in lakeshore wetlands and can effectively remove nitrogen and phosphorous from water. In this study,T.orientalis and L.salicaria were selected as test plants, and we explored the differences in removal efficiency and in the absorption, translocation, and transformation of arsenic in water by the different tissues(roots, stems and leaves)of the two test plants using hydroponic experiments. Our objective was to assess the feasibility of using T.orientalis and L.salicaria for remediation of arsenic-contaminated waterbodies. Two inorganic arsenic speciation treatments were set for each plant, including arsenate[As(Ⅴ)]and arsenite[As(Ⅲ)],with three concentration groups for each arsenic species(200,500,and 1 000 μg/L)and a control group. Each concentration treatment was conducted in triplicate with three plants for each trial. The growth cycle was 31 d for T.orientalis and 45 d for L.salicaria.T.orientalis and L.salicaria both effectively removed As(V)and As(III)from water, but there were large differences in the removal extents of inorganic arsenic in the different concentration treatment groups. The removal rates of As(Ⅴ)and As(Ⅲ)by T.orientalis were lowest in the high concentration(1 000 μg/L)treatment groups. The removal rates of As(Ⅲ)by T.orientalis in the 200,500,and 1 000 μg/L treatment groups were,respectively,71.93%,65.51%,48.22%,all lower than in the As(Ⅴ)treatment groups that were,respectively,80.84%,79.63%,72.14%.With L.salicaria, the removal rates of As(Ⅲ)were higher than those of As(Ⅴ),and the removal rate of As(Ⅲ)was the highest(97%)in the 1 000 μg/L treatment. The removal rates of As(Ⅴ)by L.salicaria in all con-centration treatment were lower than that by T.orientalis.Most of the inorganic arsenic removed by the emergent macrophytes was absorbed by the roots. The total arsenic concentrations in the roots of T.orien-talis and L.salicaria were significantly higher than those in the stems and leaves. The translocation coeffi-cients of arsenic were less than 0.1 in both plants. There were significant differences in the chemical form of arsenic and in speciation transformation in the two plants. As(III)was the dominant form in the roots of T.orientalis and L.salicaria in both the As(V)and As(III)treatments. The proportion of As(III)in roots of T.orientalis ranged from 41%to 86%,while it was in the range of 84%-94%in L.salicaria.In the stems and leaves,As(V)was the main species in T.orientalis, while As(III)was the main species in L.salicaria.A small amount of dimethylarsinic acid(DMA)(2.9%-3.6%)was detected in the stems of T.orientalis.In conclusion,T.orientalis is best for phytoremediation of As(V)-contaminated waterbod-ies and L.salicariais best for phytoremediation of As(III)-contaminated waterbodies.关键词
