太湖流域乡村聚落百年格局演变及其影响因素
Evolution of the spatial pattern and influencing factors of rural settlements in the Taihu Basin over the past century

Abstract
[Objective]This study aims to promote rural revitalization and urban-rural integration,providing a scientific basis for optimizing the spatial structure and sustainable development of rural settlements in the Taihu Basin.[Methods]Using Huzhou City,Zhejiang Province,a representative city in the Taihu Basin,as a case study,this research analyzed the evolution of the spatial pattern of rural settlements from the 1910s to 2020,based on multi-source data such as historical maps and land use databases,combined with spatial analysis methods and the geodetector model.[Results](1)Rural settlements in Huzhou exhibited significant spatial differentiation,with significantly higher densities in the eastern plains and water towns compared to western mountainous and hilly areas.(2)Over the past century,the total area of rural settlements expanded,while the numbers decreased.With larger differences in settlement sizes and distribution becoming more concentrated around urban centers,a clear trend of urban-rural integration emerged.(3)The evolution of rural settlement patterns was driven by various factors,with topography being the strongest driver of spatial distribution.(4)Buffer zone analysis revealed that rural settlements in Huzhou had a strong dependence on water systems,and the attraction of urban areas and scenic spots to rural settlements became more prominent.[Conclusion]Over the past century,the pattern of rural settlements in Huzhou showed an expansion trend,with natural factors shaping the foundational pattern and socio-economic drivers playing a driving role.关键词
