Abstract

Cr-Al catalysts were prepared from four kinds of Al2O3 supports(Al-1-Al-4)with different surface properties.XRD,N2 adsorption-desorption,NH3-TPD,FTIR,and UV-Vis were used to characterize the Al2O3 support and Cr-Al catalysts.The effect of Al2O3 properties on the state of supported Cr catalysts and the activity of propane dehydrogenation was investigated.The experimental results show that the strong L acid on the surface of Al2O3 support helps anchor the Cr2O3 species on the surface,while the surface hydroxyl group tends to form the aggregated or dispersed Cr6+.The Al-3 support has a higher content of strong L acid and the lowest content of the hydroxyl group.It is easy to form highly active Cr2O3 crystals on the surface.Meanwhile,the lower content of the hydroxyl group inhibits the migration of the aggregated or dispersed Cr6+to Cr2O3 during the reaction cycle.After 15 cycles,there is no significant difference between the activity of the Cr-Al catalyst prepared by using Al-3 support and the initial activity,with good stability.
