Abstract

The hydrothermal treatment of ZSM-5 molecular sieves was carried out.The structure and acidity of the samples before and after the modification were characterised by techniques,such as XRD,XRF,N2 adsorption-desorption and NH3-TPD.With atmospheric pressure of 500℃,and the butene WHSV of 10 h-1,the performance of the modified catalysts,in a continuous fixed bed reactor in the butene catalytic cracking reaction was investigated.The results show that hydrothermal treatment at a moderate temperature and washing with citric acid leads to skeleton de-alumination of ZSM-5 molecular sieves,reduction of catalyst acid volume,decrease of acid strength,and increase in mesopore volume.After hydrothermal treatment at 650℃for 2 h,the butene initial conversion decreases from 88.4%to 73.6%,and after 20 h of continuous reaction,the propylene selectivity increases from 31.1%to 45.7%,and the propylene yield rises from 27.6%to 33.5%.the carbon accumulation of the catalyst drops from 1.6%(w)to 1.1%(w).The stability and anti-carbon accumulation ability of the catalyst were both improved.
