Abstract

Using propylene polymerization catalyst DQC-602,the ultra-high impact copolymer polypropylene PPB-EP02 was developed on the Sinopec 3G+tubular,which initially adopted the complete process technology for multi-phase structure polypropylene in-reactor alloy in China.Product performance was analyzed through particle size analysis,melt flow rate testing,IR,and mechanical property testing.The results show that the average particle size of the DQC-602 catalyst is about 60 μm,which is beneficial for improving the rubber phase loading capacity of PP granules.The DQC-602 shows high polymerization activity,producing polypropylene powder with high bulk density,isotacticity,and extremely low content of fines and ultra fines.The total ethylene content reaches 13.5%(w)and the rubber phase content is about 28%(w)in PPB-EP02 developed.The charpy impact strength at room temperature exceeds 80 kJ/m2,and the flexural modulus is close to 800 MPa.
