摘要

Abstract

The conversion of waste tires into crumb rubber through mechanical crushing and its incorporation into asphalt not only promotes the recycling of waste tires but also significantly enhances the performance of asphalt,making it one of the most promising methods for waste tire treatment.However,the low reaction activity of waste tire-derived crumb rubber leads to poor compatibility with asphalt and inferior storage stability of the modified asphalt,which hinders the widespread application of this technology.To address this issue,this study provides an in-depth analysis of the reaction mechanisms of crumb rubber activation,reviews various technical approaches for surface activation and overall modification of crumb rubber,and points out existing challenges in current crumb rubber activation technologies.
